Shameless Marketing: Let’s Talk About Telos
It was recently pointed out to me that the entries on this blog aren't always directly related to the products we actually build. I don't necessarily have a strict strategic structure for our content on this blog. I usually just write about whatever happens to be top of mind on any given day.
But today, I thought I'd change things up. It's time for some shameless marketing. Let's talk about Telos :)
Telos is a dynamic decision-support framework that brings population dynamics, disease modelling, interventions, and economic outcomes together into one integrated platform. We built it to help policymakers and organisations quantify health and economic impacts, compare intervention strategies, and evaluate their return on investment. Ultimately, it's about supporting solid, evidence-based decision-making.
Because you can't design good policy without understanding the people it affects, Telos starts from the ground up:
Population Projections: The platform projects future population dynamics by accounting for age, gender, mortality, fertility, and migration.
Disease Burden: Using age- and gender-specific risks, Telos estimates future disease burdens across the population, allowing users to see exactly where interventions will be most effective.
Testing Interventions: Telos allows users to evaluate preventive measures and policy interventions before committing real resources. Multiple interventions can even be combined, evaluated simultaneously and compared.
Measuring What Matters: Disease outcomes are translated into practical indicators like healthcare costs, productivity, labour participation, GDP, QALYs, and mental wellbeing.
By testing different intervention packages, users can create alternative scenarios and do a transparent, side-by-side comparison of the health and economic impacts.
We're also constantly building on it. Future extensions will include geographic expansions, AI-assisted literature extraction, and advanced uncertainty analysis.
So, there you have it - a rare, fully on-topic post about what actually goes on behind the scenes! If you want to learn more about how Telos can support your organisation, feel free to reach out to me at ushma@rypple.org.
Thank you
